Can I use dry erase markers on a mirror

Although dry erase markers can be used on most types of mirrors, including frameless and glass mirrors but they will usually not last long. The ink will quickly smudge and wipe away from the surface of the mirror. But from my point of view, It would be best to avoid using dry erase markers on the mirror.
